Miguel Cruz is a small studio in Weelde for sole traders and small businesses in the Kempen. Builders, shops, hairdressers, practices and one-person companies that need a website which pays for itself and marketing that fits on one page.
I have been building websites for more than twenty years. On top of that, companies hire me as a consultant for their marketing, their enquiries and their sales, and for the operations and training behind them. That work happens in four languages.
I keep it small on purpose. You talk to the person doing the work. There is no account manager between you and the build, and no contract whose main job is keeping a team busy.
These are not values on a wall. They decide what I build, what I charge for and what I turn down.
I build with things that will still be supported in five years, not with whatever is popular this month. Your site should not need a rescue operation in 2031.
Every project has what is included written down, an update every week, and one person who answers your questions. You never have to ask how it is going.
Your site works with a keyboard, with a screen reader for people who cannot see well, and with one hand on a moving bus. That is not an extra, that is the job.
I measure before I spend and I stop what does not work, including my own ideas. I would rather tell you I got it wrong than let your money keep running.
A small business budget is real money out of a real wallet. I pick the cheapest thing that solves the problem and leave the rest alone.
I explain things in plain language, including the technical parts. If you cannot repeat what is going to happen after a meeting, I did not explain it well and I will do it again.
I do the strategy, the design, the build, the development and the photos myself. That saves you an agency passing everything on to someone else, and it saves four people having to understand each other. If something genuinely falls outside what I can do, I say so and bring in someone you get to meet yourself.
At other companies I sit on the other side of the table, as a consultant on marketing, enquiries and sales, and on the operations and training that have to carry it. That work keeps me sharp. You see up close where a business really gets stuck, and it is rarely the website alone.
